Meet Rocks, Rena Rocks. A cute and adventurous igneous rock. Join us as we read her diary.
Day 1, Birth
Today at 9:00 a.m. sharp, I was born at Volcano Hospital. My mother had 4,507,015,391 lava children. That means I have 4,507,015,391 brothers and sisters. I am hungry now, so I will cry for some dirt. So long for now!

Day 2, Preschool
Today is the first day of preschool. We are all sitting in special little jars learning how to cool so we can become strong, healthy rocks. Next, we learned how to roll so we can move around. As we practiced, I accidentally rolled out of the door. Unfortunately, I didn't learn how to stop. So I rolled on and on. The rolling was rough at first, but it then became smooth, so then I fell asleep.

Day 3, Samuel Sed
I eventually stopped rolling when I bumped into Samuel Sed. Samuel is a sedimentary rock. (and he learned how to stop rolling) We introduced ourselves and became very good friends. Samuel was smart. He taught me how to stop rolling and he went on and on about his life as a sedimentary rock. He said, "The erosion of solid rock produces sediments. Then the sediments transport by force. I was moved by a river. As the sediments sink on to the river floor, it builds up and somehow joined together." He then asked me, "Rena, do you want to go on a trip with me?" I asked him what kind of trip. Samuel replied, " I am going on a trip to visit my friend, Mandy Morphic." I had nowhere to go so I tagged along.

Day 4, Mandy Morphic
From what I know, Samuel and Mandy have been friends since kindergarten. Something scared me when I met Mandy. When she met me, she said, "Hey! It's little me!" I asked her why she said that. "You see, when I was small, I was an igneous rock like you, but through heat and pressure, I became a metamorphic rock. You will experience the same thing!" Mandy is a strange rock because right after she talked to me, she said, "Samuel, it's time! Goodbye Samuel and Rena! I'll see you when I form again!" What does that mean? I was left with an unanswered question.

Day 5, Andy Answers
Yesterday, I kept on wondering about Mandy's words, until I fell asleep. This morning, Samuel left, he had some "business". So I started thinking about Mandy's words again. I guess I looked puzzled because a friendly rock came up to me and asked me, "Why the puzzled look? I'm Andy Answers. You ask, I answer." I told him about what Mandy said. He replied, "Well, see, everyone including you and me goes through a 'rock cycle' and it starts over and over again. Mandy, who I suppose is an old rock, is starting the rock cycle again. The rock cycle includes coming in contact with lava and melting. No worries, Mandy is fine, just like you and me."

One month later, Morphed
Boy, if you think that heat and pressure is exciting, think again! That was the worst day of my life! Not only that, I was morphed with a bunch of other metamorphic rocks. We are currently being shipped to a house in which they need our firmness and shinyness for their kitchen. (whatever that is) Carmen, the rock morphed on my right, won't stop bugging me about my life. "Where were you born? Which hospital? How many siblings do you have? Do you like my shirt? I got it at Rockister and I got my pants at Rockget. OO! I love Rockercrombie and Fitch! They are so fabulous!" I can't stand her.

Next Day, My Beautiful Ending
I never thought that my last page of the diary would come. Well here I am, on the last page, stuck next to Miss Rockercrombie and Fitch. The house owner is here, making some sort of gourmet meal. Well, I guess this is all that I can say because I'm running out o..f.....page..s.......
